HOW TO FILL A FAMILY FOOD BOX

Even if you've filled one before, it can become a challenging puzzle as the food on the list has been chosen to fill the space available with very little spare. One tip when buying your pasta and biscuits is to choose the compact varieties. Following the tried and tested diagrams below will also help. Thanks to Euroaid for these.

Please keep the top and bottom of the boxes flat as they have to be stacked and must be stable for transportation.

Bottom Layer:

(A) 1 x 1.5Kg Bag of Plain Flour
(B) 2 x 500g Bags of Pasta
(C) 1 x 1Kg Bag of Sugar
(D) 2 x 1Kg Bags of Long-Grain Rice
(E) 2 x 400g Tins of Tomatoes
(F) 2 x 400g Tins of Fruit (laid on their sides)
(G) 4 x 185g Tins of Tuna Fish

Middle Layer:

(H) 3 x 250g approx. Packets of Biscuits
(I) 2 x 500g Packets of Spagetti

Top Layer:

(J) 1 x multi-pack/variety bag of treat size chocolate bars (average 25 bars/465g approx.)
