What We Colle

The Food

We collect packets of PLAIN FLOUR, RICE, SUGAR and LENTILS ONLY.

Your school can collect any or all of these foods.

We DO NOT collect any other types of food (including pasta).

Please request that the food has a ‘best before’ date after January 2012 and it is brought to school in a plastic bag.

Once all the food is in school, pack it in the boxes we have provided, making sure that:

 
  • ONLY ONE TYPE OF FOOD IS IN EACH BOX
  • each packet is in a plastic bag (to contain any spillage during transit).
  • the box is TAPED on the top and bottom (following the instructions printed on the box);
  • the contents of the box are marked on the outside;
    and
  • the top and bottom of the box is FLAT.

Stationery for Schools
Classroom Scene

Many children from deprived families struggle to buy pens, pencils etc to use at school. So this year we are asking for donations of school stationery:

 
  • pens
  • pencils
  • felt pens
  • coloured pencils
  • erasers
  • rulers
  • pencil sharpeners

(Please note we are not collecting paper).

Please make sure they are NEW and UNUSED.

They can be packed into the normal boxes we supply.
